《In class词汇课》教学设计

Step 3 Production

① Sing a chant and do the actions:

A door, a door, open the door.

A window, a window, close the window.

Morning, good morning, stand up.

Morning, good morning, sit down.

Look there, look here.

What's it? It's a blackboard.

(Justification: Chant is interesting for primary students, so it will create a nice atmosphere. And students can consolidate the knowledge they have learned this class.)

② Divide students into several groups. The teacher says the instruction like "open the window", "sit down", and students should react quickly. Finally, which group gets the most stars will be the winner.

(Justification: group competition can make students be active in class, and this is also a TPR method to help students understand the meaning of these instructions better.)

Step 4 Summary and homework

Summary: Summarize what we have learned today together with students.

Homework: Learn the chant and sing it together next class.

(Justification: It can help students consolidate what they have learned in this class.)
