Step 3 Practice
① High and low voice: Play this game to practice the pronunciation of "ou".
② Hot potato: Students think up more words with "ou" when playing this game.
(Justification: These games are easy and interesting. Students can practice the pronunciation, and link it with some words they have learned before.)
Step 4 Production
① Show two pictures on the screen, and ask students what difference is between them.
One picture: porridge and steamed buns.
The other one: cereal, bread, eggs, and sausages.
② Do a survey: What do you have for breakfast? Students work in group, after 3 minutes, the teacher will invite some groups to share. Then the teacher will emphasize the importance of keeping a healthy diet.
(Justification: In this way, students can have a brief understanding about the different diet between China and western countries, and they will know the importance of keeping a healthy diet.)
Step 5 Summary and homework
Summary: Summarize what we have learned today together with students.
Homework: Sing the chant and record it, pay attention to the pronunciation of "ou".
(Justification: It can help students consolidate what they have learned in this class.)
