2.内容：

I’d guess that Mrs. Chen is almost sixty. She’s very strict - we don’t dare to say a word unless she asks us to. She is also very serious and doesn’t smile much. When she asks you to do something, you do it immediately. There are a few students in our class who keep coming to class late but they are always on time for Mrs.Chen’s lessons. Some of our class don’t like her, but must of us really appreciate her because her teaching is so well organized and clear. And a few students even admit liking her! During scientific experiments, she explains exactly what is happening and as a result my work is improving.

3.基本要求：

(1)朗读所给段落。

(2)配合教学内容适当板书。

(3)针对所给材料的内容，设计理解关键信息的听力教学活动。

Teaching procedures:

Step 1: Warming-up

1. Begin with a greeting and talk weather with students

2. Play a video:

Invite the students to watch a video, Les Choristes, and introduce the main plots.

3.Introduce some great educators and lead into our new lesson.

Step 2: Pre - listening

Obstacle: write down the new words “serious”, “immediately”, “appreciate” and “organize” on the blackboard and help students learn these words through their meaning, usage and part of speech.

Step 3: While- listening

1. Intensive listening

Let students listen to the listening material and ask students summarize the main idea.

Main idea: Mrs. Chen is very strict.

2. Intensive listening

Let students listen to the tape again and give them two questions before listening.

①Why do these students think Mrs.Chen is very strict?

She doesn’t smile; immediately do what she asks; never say until she permits

②Why do some students like or admit Mrs.Chen?

Her teaching is so well organized and clear.

Explains exactly what is happening during scientific experiments.

3. Invite some students to answer the two questions and write down the answers.

Step 4: Post- listening

1.Discussion:

Give students 5 minutes to have a discussion in a group of four about the rules of a good teacher in their mind.

2.When time is up, invite some students to share their ideas.

Step5: Summary and Homework

Summary: ask a student to conclude the content of the lesson and summarize with the whole class.

Homework: search from the internet to find more great educators and make a list about their stories.

1.How do you think about that the teacher should keep learning?

All of us want to be a good teacher. But how does it come? I think several qualities are definitely necessary: academic knowledge, the understanding of children, and the techniques and methods for teaching. As the saying goes: there is no best, but only the better. For our teachers, it means we should keep going on our job, improve our own abilities and skills of teaching. We do have a lot of ways to improve ourselves, but no matter what kinds of progress, we get them through the same way, that is learning. I appreciate every opportunity that I can learn from the textbooks, from the other teachers, from the students, even from every class I hold. This way might be hard but with pleasure.

2. How to deal with the While-listening part?

The while-listening part is composed of extensive listening and intensive listening.

The main purpose of extensive listening is to let the students get the main idea of the listening material. We can give students the following questions before listening:1). choose a suitable title after listening,2).write a summary,3).choose the pictures relating to the topic.

The intensive listening is to let students grasp the details. The following questions can be used in the extensive listening:1).fill the information in the chart,2).judge whether the given statements are true or not,3).answer questions,4).have a dictation according to the key words.
